wark87 I love Darkspace, but this is a forgettable disappointment. I feel betrayed, it's like an airplane rolling for one hour on a runway without ever taking off.

Ippocalyptica Evidently from out of nowhere, the masters and originators of atmospheric cosmic black metal strike again, unleashing at once their clearest-sounding and most disarming release to date. Perhaps a little more industrial and a little less black metal than we have become accustomed to, Darkspace still has it after a quarter of a century. Is -II as good as III? Obviously not, but nothing in this sub-genre compares to that 2008 masterwork. A black hole that will utterly consume you, if you dare…

kopophobia On my first listen I kinda waited the whole time for the Blast Beats to start until I realised that the whole Track is low Tempo. Knowing that I listened to it again today and I really enjoyed it. Still hoping they will include fast Parts again in future releases cause the Mix of absurdely fast blast Beat passages and slow parts is one of the things i love the most about Darkspace. Favorite track: Dark -2.-2.

Jordan Vauvert Quasiment dix ans de silence radio — on apprend tout au plus le départ de Zorgh — mais pour son retour en scène, Darkspace choisit de revenir en arrière. Dark Space -II remonte le temps, avant que les Hommes aient des yeux, avant même que les planètes soient en mouvement. Dans cet album, le black metal est encore plus ambiant, les guitares tirent vers le drone et la batterie est absente, remplacée par des kicks électroniques. Tout n'est qu'immobilité.
Pas le magnum opus du groupe mais captivant. Favorite track: Dark -2.-2.

Striking and hypnotic, listening through Geister is a rugged and immense journey. The album is brimming with ceremonial darkness from the moment it starts.
